Planning our water future

Water resources across the Mount Lofty Ranges are under pressure. The Eastern and Western Mount Lofty Ranges Water Allocation Plans are being amended to reflect changing conditions and community needs.

Water support healthy environments, productive landscapes, farming, food production, local businesses and regional communities. How it is shared and used across our catchments affects our environment, farms, towns and communities, so it's important that local knowledge and perspectives help shape future decisions.

Catchment Conversations so far have highlighted the importance of reliable local data, water security, healthy environments, productive landscapes and transparent decision-making. We are also hearing a strong desire for communities to be involved in shaping future outcomes.
