Each district is supported by a dedicated team of stewardship officers who assist land managers to protect and regenerate vital natural resources like soil, watercourses, and native vegetation, critical for both healthy farming and biodiversity.
Land managers play a key role in caring for our landscapes, and through the Stewardship Program, we foster partnerships that help ensure our landscapes thrive for generations to come.
Our region’s land managers are diverse. They include large-scale primary producers, small acreage private landholders, state and local government agencies that look after public land, First Nations, volunteers, and non-government organisations.
